New York, NY (May 6, 2016) – Knowre, an education technology company, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as a REVERE Awards finalist in the Supplemental Resources for the math category. Only the top quarter of REVERE Awards entries receive finalist status, making the finalists pool a strong, competitive and talented group.
Knowre’s adaptive learning program for secondary math offers unrivaled visibility into a student’s understanding of specific concepts and skills. Through the unique Walk-Me-Through feature, which is modeled after the one-on-one student-teacher interaction, Knowre is able to identify why students answer math questions incorrectly. Easy-to-read reports then provide teachers with actionable data and insights into each student’s strengths and weaknesses while Knowre addresses students’ learning gaps through algorithmically-created personalized review curricula.
Celebrating its 50th program year, the REVERE (Recognizing Valuable Educational Resources) Awards continue to identify outstanding educational products that engage today’s teachers and students. The AAP PreK-12 Learning Group produces the prestigious Awards program that is unique to the educational industry in recognizing learning resources in all media, for all ages, and in a wide variety of educational subject areas and learning environments. “We are honored to be recognized as a finalist in the highly-regarded REVERE awards,” remarked David Joo, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Knowre. “This recognition helps to bolster Knowre’s mission and dedication to personalizing the learning experience to help students reach their full potential in math.
Finalists were chosen through a three month long evaluation process by a number of judges in various fields including educators and industry professionals. Each product was expertly reviewed against a comprehensive rubric promoting excellence in all areas of product design and development.
“Every year we seek new ways to improve every facet of the awards program, and this 50th year is no exception. Stronger rubrics, additional guidance for written feedback and expanding our base of constructive and thoughtful judges has been key for identifying exceptional educational products and materials. We are very proud and excited by the overall quality of the finalists and winners in this landmark year for the REVERE Awards,” said REVERE Awards Chair, Eric Hamilton, Assistant Director, NCSLET Administration at the American Museum of Natural History.
Winners will be announced during the special celebration REVERE Awards Gala on June 8 in Philadelphia during the AAP PreK-12 Learning Group’s annual Content in Context conference.
